A talk on Environmentally Conscious Choices
Hello dear readers.
I’ve been busy working on a talk, so my newsletter will be postponed for a couple weeks.
In case you are interested - yes - you can join the zoom call for the talk for free. But you do have register for the talk on the Little Falls Village website by noon tomorrow.
Here’s the blurb for the talk
Environmentally Conscious Choices:
Celebrating our Common Ground
with Dr. Prudence Foster
Thursday, February 9, from 1-2:30 pm
While most of us would like to have a positive impact on the environment, it can be hard to know where to start. Approaching this problem as a systems physicist, Dr. Pru Foster will outline the status of nature’s life support systems and what the greatest threats are to the various systems that support our lives. The conclusions of this analysis are inescapable—it is our lifestyle choices that are driving the destruction of the natural world. In this talk, Pru will outline the key steps we can each take to improve our impact on the world. Pru has a PhD in astrophysics and most of her career has been spent researching climate change and biodiversity at the Universities of Tokyo and Bristol. Pru is author of the book A Drop of Grace: Finding and Protecting Our Common Ground and writes a sustainability and gardening newsletter called The Prudent Lifestyle.
